Commercial Drivers

Our team performs all duties in the safest manner and in compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Procedures. We have established the highest operational procedures to keep both our employees and customers safe. Our drivers operate with well-maintained equipment and can rely on on-site maintenance mechanic shops and roadside service. It is our top priority to train and empower our employees to provide the best-in-class customer service for both our clients and the communities we work in.

Wholesale Fuel Transport, Hazmat, Class “A”, and Tanker Drivers play a vital role to ensure our customers have the finest quality fuel available for their operation. As a Wholesale Fuel Transport Driver, you will be responsible for loading and delivering tanker loads of petroleum products, providing customer service, and maintaining professionalism during the sales process. Essential job functions include:

  • Properly conducting pre-trip and post-trip truck and trailer inspections.
  • Safely driving loaded and empty tanker trucks of assorted sizes, makes, and models.
  • Properly loading and unloading products; hauling, hooking and unhooking hoses.
  • Operating pumps and valves for loading and unloading both on and off trucks.
  • Safely filling tanks of all types and sizes using various size hoses, nozzles, and fittings; safely using pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, hammers and other hand tools.
  • Evaluating the dangers of a location, judging different safety methods and plans, and understanding the application of first-aid when the situation demands.
  • Observing his/her work carefully to anticipate problems early, adopting safety measures, and using safety mechanisms while working.
  • Accurately completing driver logs, pre-trip and post-trip forms, invoices, and other paperwork as required.
  • Working courteously with supervisors, dispatchers, colleagues, and customers.

 

Position Requirements

  • Minimum age of hire is 23 years old
  • Class “A” CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements
  • Current 1 year DOT medical (physical) card and I-9 employment documentation
  • Minimum 1 year of full-time verifiable and consistent Class “A” tanker trailer hauling experience out of the last 2 years (or 2 years of experience out of the last 4 years)
  • Preferred fuel, drilling mud, condensate, frac water, and/or crude hauling experience
  • No reckless driving violations
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 36 months (or 2 moving violations in 24 months)
  • Minimal driving violations (MVR & PSP reporting)
  • No drug or alcohol violation in connection with a motor vehicle
  • Pass company road test and pre-employment DOT drug screen
  • Ability to run loads at night – no guarantee of specific day or night shift rotation
  • Ability to collaborate with all departments within the organization
  • Maintain focus and strong drive to consistently meet or exceed objectives

 

Physical Ability Requirements

  • Meet highest attendance requirements
  • Walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, and climb as necessary to perform vehicle inspections required under 49 CFR Sections 396.11-15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Sit for extended periods of time without much movement
  • Work in time-sensitive environments with non-flexible deadlines
  • Speak, read, and write in English

  • Company housing and daily per diem (dependent on location)
  • Paid per hour – overtime pay accrued after 40 hours up to 70 hours per rotation (200-350 average miles driven per day)
  • Quarterly safety bonus program – based on individual driver performance and longevity (offered after 90 days of employment and position within the quarterly year)

Frac Fuel, Hazmat, Class “A/B”, and Tanker Drivers play a vital role to ensure our customers have the finest quality fuel available for their operation. As a Frac Fuel Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products, and equipment and operating on our customer’s frac site locations. Essential job functions include:

  • Properly conducting pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections.
  • Driving on pad locations and verifying loads.
  • Safely operating loaded and empty bobtail trucks (Class B) on pad site locations by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
  • Transfering fuel to various frac equipment including pumps, blenders, generators, data vans, light plants, etc.
  • Operating and performing minor maintenance on vehicles and various other types of equipment
  • Properly loading and unloading products; hauling, hooking and unhooking hoses.
  • Observing his/her work carefully to anticipate problems early, adopting safety measures, and using safety mechanisms while working.
  • Accurately completing driver logs, pre-trip and post-trip forms, invoices, and other paperwork as required.
  • Working courteously with supervisors, dispatchers, colleagues, and customers.
